Supporting the Peregrine Theatre Ensemble with a season sponsorship is the ultimate way to join us in sustaining our mission to create top-notch theater and enrich the unique culture of Provincetown on the Outer Cape.
As a non-profit theater company, Peregrine's ticket sales account for only 75% of our yearly operating budget. With each passing season, as we continue to raise the bar, our budget must grow to accommodate all the wonderful things we wish to accomplish. To base a season on projected ticket sales is nearly impossible and we must flip that percentage in favor of donations and contributions. This will enable us to plan much easier and grow as an organization. We cannot continue to count on ticket sales to meet our budget goals as this is not financially resonable and we are calling on business leaders to help us bridge that gap.
We are not only a performing arts company but also a growing organization. We employ around 40 people each summer and are paying independent contractors along with purchasing building materials, paying royalty fees for our shows, marketing materials, ads in summer programs, magazines, and newspapers, the list is truly endless. Most of the money that we spend goes back into our own community. Local individuals and businesses support us and we support our local economy.
Without you we would not be able to bring theater arts to the forefront of our community. It is extremely important that performing arts continue to thrive in our ever shifting and changing landscape and economy. We live in Provincetown, the birthplace of American Theater and it is indeed alive and well. We ask that you make the ultimate gift and become a season sponsor.
